NeoGenesis Products for IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy, also known as an IPL Photofacial, is a cosmetic skin treatment to improve the color and texture of your skin without surgery.

Before IPL Treatment

The healthier your skin is prior to an IPL treatment, the better the results as it lessens the chance of a negative outcome. IPL is often done in a series of treatments so it is important to prepare the skin and to continue a high level of care throughout the treatments and beyond.

Beginning a home protocol of NeoGenesis products prior to the procedure will ensure that the skin has all the nutrients it needs to heal faster and more beautifully. Twice daily use of NeoGenesis Cleanser, followed by Recovery serum, then Intensive Moisturizer or Barrier Renewal Cream, is recommended to keep your skin its healthiest.

After IPL Treatment

Following an IPL treatment, use NeoGenesis Cleanser followed by Recovery a minimum of twice daily to speed healing, reduce inflammation, irritation and downtime.  In addition, the Intensive Moisturizer or Barrier Renewal Cream may be used twice daily, or as often as needed, to hydrate the skin and provide proper barrier function. For immediate relief after the procedure, use Moisturizing Mist as often as needed to cool irritated and heated skin.

IPL treatments done in a series are often scheduled four to six weeks apart.  We recommend following the Pre and Post IPL home care suggestion to continue healing and improving the skin.  When all treatments in a series are complete and skin has healed, a maintenance program for home care may begin. Skin Serum or Booster may be applied in the morning after the Cleanser, followed by a moisturizer.  Continue the use of Recovery after cleansing in the evening, followed by a moisturizer. If additional hydration is needed in the evening, Skin Serum or Booster may be added to the routine, after Recovery and before the moisturizer.
